THE SETTING
Can't decide whether you're hungry for Chinese or sushi? No problem. At this friendly restaurant near South Mountain, you can have both. Although the name suggests you'll actually get a little bit of everything (meaning, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.), the menu is mostly limited to Chinese standards and way-out sushi, with a few Thai dishes thrown in for good measure. The decor reflects the restaurant's multiple personalities, featuring modern light fixtures, a Chinese wall scroll, pictures of Japanese geisha and a mosaic of the Western (not Chinese) zodiac. It all comes together nicely, however, to create a space that's trendy but comfortable. If you love Szechuan, you'll be disappointed here. The restaurant's setting sends one back in time when things were simpler in life, fitting the artsy environment of the town. Come inside the restaurant and you're sent back in time 60+ years when Eisenhower was president, Rock N' Roll was in its infancy stage, there were no super highways, and stops like these were where the folks would cool-off their pallets with an ice cold beer a good ole burger and some great conversation.
