This fantastic restaurant is only nine months old, has had no advertising, no website and no beer and wine, yet sales keep climbing and yelp reviews continue to support their claims of excellent food and service. I can personally attest to the service and food through personal experience, when I sampled their chipotle carnitas at a candle lit outdoor table. I have eaten here several times since and continnue to be impressed with the quality and sophisticaton of their food. Sale does not include name or recipes.
The space was meticulously renovated in late 2010, with the addition of a few pieces of new equipment on the hot line line, cosmetic changes which produced an open chef’s kitchen, enhanced interior lighting changes, a full( internet based) camera system and a tasteful awning to support al fresco dining.
The addition of a beer and wine license should increase business by 25% to 30% (paperwork is completed and signed off by the Landlord) and with proper advertising and an active customer outreach program, this location will become an operators dream.
The areas local population actively supports many restaurants which are all adjacent to the upscale communities of Hidden Hills and Calabasas and only a stone’s throw from Warner Center. Numerous office buildings provide lunch traffic and a Southern facing exterior patio provides shade from the sun to support comfortable early evening, al fresco, dining. This area loves it “locals only” restaurants; resulting in high retention and repeat business. Many neighboring restaurants have been in continuous operation for over 30 years and some longer than that.
