 CEO & President | After nearly 9 years in the entertainment industry as a Chief Financial Officer for Universal Music Group, Mel started to search for businesses to buy. Two years later, he realized the business brokerage industry lacked good service, quality brokers, and most important, basic customer relationship and marketing tools.
This led Mel to revolutionize the business brokerage industry by using simple customer service and cutting-edge internet marketing concepts.
Mel acquired Paramount Restaurant Brokers, Inc. in 2003 and purchased the name SellingRestaurants.com. This business model has been so successful SellingRestaurants in six short years is now the largest restaurant broker not only in California, but the nation in terms of number of restaurant listings, sales transactions, number of agents, area covered and website traffic.
SellingRestaurants has sold more than 330 restaurants in 5 years.
Mel is an accomplished merger and acquisition specialist having completed over $12 Billion of merger and acquisition transactions at the fortune 50 level. In addition to holding senior financial executive and Chief Financial Officer positions for multi-national corporations such as Universal Music Group, the world's largest music recording company and Nestle Foods, one of the largest food companies in the world, Mel has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University Northridge and he studied law at Gonzaga University School of Law. Mel is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the California National Guard.  Agent | Stuart Schlosser brings over 25 years of significant restaurant experience to the SellingRestaurants. Stuart's vast knowledge comes from having run all aspects of restaurants, both front of the house and back of the house. His experience extends to having served as chef at white-table cloth restaurant, a steak house, a cafe and a hotel's food operations, among other establishments. In addition to being an accomplished chef, Stuart was the co-founder/owner of a 13 unit Yogurt store chain, overseeing over 200 employees, responsible for new store openings, product development, operating procedures, training and overall operations. He is also owner of two sub franchises and served on the franchisor's advertising board and as Chair of its Southern California Food Council. He attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York. Stuart brings a valuable combination of skills to SellingRestaurants, based on experience, knowledge, intellect, integrity and honesty.  Agent | Sabrina has a diverse work background including institutional fundraising, real estate development, and business consulting. She has a B.A. in Arts, Culture and Media with a focus in Museum Education from the University of Washington and attended Seattle University to earn her Master’s in Public Administration. Currently, Sabrina blends her role as a commercial sales agent with her consulting business, SLM Consulting where she focuses on building relationships between communities and businesses as a way to form a coalition of transparent and collaborative partnerships toward a stronger and more viable economy and communities of joint ownership. She specializes in boutique restaurants, assisting her clients with site location and purchase, while offering additional consulting services in conceptual design, menu planning, marketing, and public relations. She works passionately toward qualifying her clients’ business dream by bringing it to concrete visual form. She is a member of the Northwest Development Officers Association, Chef’s Collaborative, Board member at HealthPoint (Formerly Community Health Centers of King County) and serves on several Planning Committee’s.  |
